RESIDENTIAL BATHROOM
Old and tired would be a good way to describe this home’s existing master bathroom.
The owners came to Carmel Builders looking for a classic design to reflect the refined taste evident in the rest of their colonial home. They requested additional room, more light, and a luxurious shower. Exceptional design, creativity and resourcefulness were required for this project as moving the walls, door or window was not an option.
We eliminated wasted space by removing an oversized closet and outdated built-in shower. At the closet’s location, we installed a cherry vanity and linen cabinet. The vanity provides an excellent location for putting on makeup or getting ready, and the linen closet provides ample storage for all the bathroom’s necessities. A luxurious, neo-angle shower with custom glass shower door replaced the dingy shower and enlarged the room, allowing one to see the full depth and width of the bathroom.
A second cherry vanity with a countertop with an integral sink adds practical elegance. Above the commode, a matching cherry custom tank top cabinet with etched glass doors compliments the glass shower doors. talian ceramic tile flooring and tile shower surround enhances the cabinetry and imparts a warm, comfortable look and feel. Mirrors above both vanities reflect natural light from the window and add a feeling of spaciousness. The end result of this creative design is a luxurious, comfortable bathroom with plenty of space for two.
