The owners of this beautiful Mequon home had a non-descript lower level room they wanted to convert into a library study. They requested floor to ceiling book shelves against three walls of the room. To accommodate the varying heights and shapes of the walls and ceiling, approximately twelve, custom made one piece oak cabinets were designed, constructed and installed. The bookcases were finished to match the cherry wood finish of the home’s upper levels. Crown moulding, valances and fluted mullions provide a look of unassuming elegance. An angled curio cabinet sets off the treasured volumes on the bookcase shelves.
