Tom Weiher began his carpentry and remodeling career almost 35 years ago as an apprentice for his father, Tom senior. As Tom’s father approached retirement from the full fledged remodeling and repair business, Tom joined another remodeling company as a lead carpenter and general manager.
After years of experience, Tom felt he had refined his craft and skills to such a level that he was able to tackle most any type of remodeling, and in 1979 Carmel Builders was born.
In 1988, Carmel Builders joined the Milwaukee/NARI Home Improvement Council because Tom supports the Council's goals of encouraging ethical conduct, sound business practices, and professionalism in the remodeling industry. Tom earned the designation of Certified Remodeler in 2000 and Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler in 2003. Only truly experienced and dedicated professionals are able to earn this distinction. The annual recertification necessary to maintain certification requires credits; earned by ongoing education and participation in industry related programs.
As a current Milwaukee/NARI Vice President, Tom continues to promote and support the standards of honesty, integrity and responsibility in business conduct though active participation in the Milwaukee/NARI Education and Certification Committee.
